Water Garden. A seven acre garden centred around ponds and streams in Sussex

Completion

Location

East Sussex

This beautiful garden in East Sussex is centred around water. Part of the National Open Garden Scheme it was designed by Acres Wild with an amazing water garden made out of an old quarry and streams and ponds running throughout the seven acres. We built this glorious waterfall using Kentish Ragstone in 2021 and it is wonderful to see the now mature plants filling the space with triumphant style.

This stone bridge was designed by Dewlands Garden Design, connecting the shepherds hut to the rest of the garden.

The curves of this decked walkway were painstakingly measured and cut one by one once it was in situ.

This beautiful bench which curves around the firepit, was designed by Katsura and built using Purbeck Stone. The bench seat is made out of ash and was expertly manipulated into shape by Eugene Hill from Dewlands Garden Design.

The quarry garden.

A striking viewing platform jutting out over the water.
